I absolutely love Alton Towers, particularly when you time your visit for one of those quiet term time days when you don’t have to queue for hours for the big rides! It’s not as much fun when you spend ten times as much time lining up as you do enjoying the rides. But that’s my opinion.
It’s not the cheapest theme park in the UK, that’s for sure. But Alton Towers does have some of the best roller coasters in the country and with the arrival of the new CBeebies land, it also really does have something for every age group.

Free Adult Tickets with Kelloggs Cereal Grown Ups Go Free
Check out the Kelloggs website here for full details of this offer. But basically here’s how it works:
- You spend £3 or so on a box of Kelloggs cereal that includes a code
- Book your tickets online and redeem the code
- You should get an Alton Towers adult ticket free with a paying child ticket
This will save you a nice chunk of money on the day out and, in fact, this offer is available for all Merlin Attractions in the UK. In addition, you’ll have until the end of June 2018 to redeem the codes, so keep hold of the codes whether you plan to visit in 2017 or not until next year.

Cadbury 2-4-1 Alton Towers Promotion
Since May 2016, Cadbury has been offering 2-4-1 tickets to Merlin attractions, including Alton Towers. There’s not too long left on this particular offer mind. While you might still get your hands on the promotional packs, you have to redeem the tickets by 31st July 2017.
The way it works is simple. You pay for one adult ticket to Alton Towers and another adult can enter with you on the same day. Again, this is an offer available at other Merlin Attractions too.

If you’re a Tastecard member, you can get more than just a free meal. The company now has entertainment offers which, at the time of writing, include money off entry to Alton Towers. Check it out here (you’ll need your membership number to hand).
