This is why I never stay in hotels when holidaying in the UK with family. Aside from the fact that having young children and two adults one small room is hard work to say the least, you just get so much more for your money if you rent holiday homes.
Take a look at this holiday home:
That’s a 5 bed house (though the website suggests it will sleep 12 we’re working on the assumption it will sleep 10 if everyone is going to sleep in bedrooms)!
So here some of the many facilities:
- Private indoor pool with both male and female changing rooms
- Private outdoor hot tub
- 5 bedrooms (4 with en suite shower rooms)
- An additional family bathroom
- A bar area
- Pool table
- Table tennis table
- Huge garden
- All the usual kitchen and utility facilities
And prices start at £350 per night for the whole property. That means, if you have 10 paying adults, you can stay here for just £35 per person per night. Of course prices go up over peak seasons and so on. But that’s a lot of value for all those facilities, particularly when you consider that you can easily pay double that a hotel with just a bed and a bathroom.
